The George P. and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Institute for Fundamental Physics and Astronomy

Visitor Program

The Mitchell Institute plays a unique role in understanding the interconnection between particle physics and cosmology. The Institute invests in talent and perspective, recruiting world class scientists focused on pushing the envelope of fundamental physics and astronomy. The Institute’s Guest Scientist Program is no exception. The Institute’s program affords scientific interactions between Institute scientists and the larger scientific community. These ongoing collaborations serve as a nexus for forming new experimental techniques, developing observational strategies, and solving longstanding theoretical problems in areas intersecting particle physics and cosmology—with the end goal of better understanding the Universe. The Institute’s guest scientist program also showcases internationally eminent physicists in a series of landmark workshops and international conferences at Texas A&M University. In addition, the program includes ongoing physicist/scholar exchanges between the Cambridge University and Texas A&M.

Guest programs are offered for both short-and long-term periods. For more information please contact amanda@physics.tamu.edu
