Dark Matter Theory

Theorists at Texas A&M study the properties of dark matter using a wide range of resources. Strigari studies the properties of particle dark matter using large scale astronomical data from the Dark Energy Survey, the Hobby-Eberly Telescope Dark Energy eXperiment, and the LSST Project, from astroparticle experiments such as the Fermi-LAT gamma-ray space telescope, and from underground dark matter search experiments such as the Cryogenic Dark Matter Search. Cosmological simulations are utilized to study the macroscopic implications of different particle dark matter candidates. Research in dark matter is highly interdisciplinary, involving collaborations with high energy theory and experimental members of the Mitchell Institute.
